'Transformers' Optimus Prime voice actor, Peter Cullen dead at 85.

Peter Cullen, the voice actor of Optimus Prime, Eeyore and Thaedus has passed away on the 26th of August 2026. This came as a shock to the world, having lost an iconic star seen animated on their screens.

Peter's career started in 1964, featuring on "Shoestring Theatre," sparking a 62 year long career. He was loved by many, with his wide variety of characters, there was a role he played in everyone's life.

A statement reveals Cullen died in his home in Los Angeles. "Peter Cullen passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family - and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide. His family asks that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty and always remember 'be strong enough to be gentle'."

There is no reveal on how Peter Cullen passed away, he also kept his family out of the public eye, but it is suggested he has 4 children.
